We are sending love to all our business partners and thinking about you as we reopen our businesses. For February we will focus on mental health and little things we can do to love ourselves more! Whether you are a business owner or an employee, with the right mindset, vision, and taking time for self-care we can open up better than before.
Simple things we can do to love ourselves a little bit more every day
- Practicing gratitude can help us shift our focus from a state of lack to a state of abundance. Make an effort to journal for five minutes every day. List three things you are grateful for, three things you love about yourself, and one thing you would improve upon.
- Set realistic goals and celebrate even small victories. We love the SMART approach that can be used for business or personal goal setting. This acronym stands for; Specificity, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time. More on this approach in our next post. (Part 2)
- Prioritize time for self-care and relaxation.
We have 24 hours every day, 8 for rest, 8 for work and 8 for everything else. Hopefully, our days are balanced. Self-care and relaxation are not a luxury but as an essential service that we give to ourselves. It can be as simple as taking a bath, a walk-in nature or spending time with our pets!
- Give yourself the love you give to others.
Be gentle with yourself, celebrate your personal victories whenever possible. Treat yourself!
- Drink more water.
Hydration plays a key role in how we feel. Ensuring you are well hydrated will have a positive mind and body benefits.
Practicing a mindful approach when we are feeling overwhelmed can help. It provides a moment to bring our attention to our breathing, a moment to re-center and then refocus. Make a point to be included tiny moments for yourself daily to recharge and reenergize. This Valentine’s Day let’s prioritize our own self-care, go ahead and give yourself some love!
